My
forensic services include consultations, psychiatric evaluations, and
expert testimony. I engage a variety of civil, criminal and family law matters including addiction, child and adolescent/custody, competency to stand trial and for decision-making, civil commitment, dangerousness, diminished intent, fitness for duty, harassment, immigration, insanity, placement, probate, psychiatric and psychological autopsy, psychiatric disability/damages, psychiatric evaluation for treatment, psychopharmacology, and restoration of competency and sanity.
Accepted as an expert by State and Federal Courts with prior work within Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, Imperial, Santa Barbara, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Monterey, Plumas, San Bernardino, and Tuolumne Counties in California, the states of Arizona, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming, and for the United States Marine Corps and Coast Guard.
To
most effectively advise clients, I first offer a forensic consultation
to evaluate the case from a psychiatric standpoint. Fees for consultation
depend on the extent of the request. The recommendations that may have
a bearing in the case are offered orally. At this stage, the professional
relationship may be ended or continued in the more traditional format
outlined below.
To
begin the process of establishing a professional relationship for forensic
services that will include a written report, send a letter requesting
such services. If I am able to be of assistance, I will provide my fee
schedule with a fee agreement. The professional relationship is established
when I receive a letter or court order confirming the agreement accompanying
the fee schedule. If the matter is confidential, extend attorney-client
privilege in the letter or court order. At this time, please send all
case materials.
